We seek to support young children to develop self-confidence, independence, motivation and enjoyment of learning through high quality life experiences - we have hatched some chicks and looked after some caterpillars to become butterflies, have kept our own bottle-fed lambs, we spend days in the nearby woods and fields, do loads of messy play, have trips to the local café, love spending time at our allotments and lots more fun stuff too...
For more information give us a call on 01458 259180 or 07799 423884.
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and have places available for the 2, 3 & 4 year old Early Years Funding for free childcare hours for you.
We share our good-sized garden with some friendly chicken (collecting the eggs is always great fun) and enjoy spending time at our allotment growing own our food - this year we are planning on carrots, peas and tomatoes!
Unlike a nursery, as a small childcare setting we are really able to respond and follow the children’s individual interests and ideas - for example when the children spent time role-playing a camp fire in the playroom, we were then able to go outside and light a real fire to toast some marshmallows together!
Both my Assistants and I are fully trained in paediatric first aid, safeguarding and food safety and are experienced in looking after children (including our own children - we have 6 between us), I hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare. We are fully insured and risk assess all activities - children’s safety is our paramount concern.
